The monkeypox virus is related to smallpox and the U.S. has recently experienced outbreaks of this virus. As of August 2022, Tennessee has seen 32 cases of monkeypox. This virus spreads through close, intimate contact. Anyone who has been in close, personal contact with someone who has monkeypox is at risk. We all know how scary it is to hear about the sudden spread of a novel virus, but Patriot Homecare is committed to keeping our patients informed.
